The VR-730 is equipped with a 73-note waterfall keyboard with semi-weighted action, ideal for playing traditional organ techniques like trill, sputter, glissando, and percussive hits. As soon as you put your hands on the keys, you’ll feel right at home with the smooth touch that has just the right amount of resistance. The quick response thanks to Quick Firing feature makes it easy and comfortable to play fast passages, percussive attack expressions, and soft glissandos. The waterfall shape also provides a friendly feel for piano players, and the extra octave is a welcome addition for those used to 61-note keyboards, offering extended playing range and bigger zones for splits.
- Keyboard: The Roland V-Combo VR-730 features a 73-note semi-weighted waterfall keyboard with velocity sensitivity, which is suitable for traditional organ trills and glissandos, while still being comfortable for piano players.
- Sound Engines: It incorporates Roland’s Virtual Tone Wheel Organ engine for authentic vintage organ sounds, the SuperNATURAL Synth engine for a wide variety of modern and classic synth tones (including JUNO and JUPITER pads), and PCM synth sounds.
- Portability: A major highlight is its extremely lightweight design, weighing just 9.9 kg (21 lb. 14 oz.), making it very easy for touring musicians to transport. It can be powered by either an AC adaptor or 8 AA batteries for maximum mobility.
- User Interface: The front panel has a smart, organized layout with dedicated sections for organ, piano, and synth sounds, along with nine harmonic bars and multiple real-time controls (knobs, sliders, D-BEAM controller, pitch bend/modulation lever) for on-the-fly sound manipulation.
